I am an an architect, maker and writer based in Austin, Texas. I earned my M.Arch degree from the University of Washington, worked at award-winning firms including Bosworth Hoedemaker in Seattle and the Stanley Studio in Austin, and am a licensed architect in the state of Texas.

As an architect, I design houses with a simple palette of climate-positive materials.

As the boss at BAAD Company, a custom furniture and caning workshop, I explore contemporary applications of the traditional craft of caning. I have studied woodworking at Haystack and Penland schools of craft and chair caning at the Silver River Center for Chair Caning.

In my studio practice, I make pettable objects.

I am a frequent contributor to design magazines including Texas Architect, The Architect’s Newspaper and Dwell.
